The one day Symposium event will include:

ˇ       Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner

ˇ       A technical forum featuring 10-12 oral presentations from students, faculty, and industry professionals

ˇ       An evening poster session featuring additional research presentations

ˇ       A Keynote Address from TBA

ˇ       Presentation of the 2018 Michigan Catalysis Society Giuseppe Parravano Memorial Award for Excellence in Catalysis Research and Development

ˇ       Awards for Outstanding Student Oral Presentation and Outstanding Student Poster Presentation

ˇ       MCS Business Meeting and election of a new Secretary/Treasurer

ˇ       Sponsor exhibits of equipment, materials, and technologies relating to catalysis and associated processes

ˇ       Opportunities to networking with leaders in catalysis research and development from the state of Michigan and its neighboring states and provinces

 


Call For Papers

The call for papers is now open and invites your contribution to the 39th Annual Spring Symposium.  The contributions should be on either fundamental or applied homogeneous or heterogeneous catalysis.   A one page abstract, in printable form should be submitted via e-mail as a Microsoft WordŽ document by 5:00 PM, April 20, 2018 to Ming Yang.   More information about the symposium is available by pressing the call for papers link, including an example of the format to be used for the abstract. If multiple papers are submitted from any single group, please rank them for presentation in order of your preference.  We will try and accommodate as many presentations for oral submissions as spots available. Submissions from both industrial and academic participants are strongly encourages as the MCS board believe this critical to achieving the type of network we believe is a vital component to this meeting. 

 


Registration

Symposium cost is $75 for regular members and $25 for student and post-doc members.  Those who have not paid their 2017-18 membership dues are expected to do so upon registration for the symposium. Dues are $25 for regular members and $10 for students and post-docs.

Registration is completed by downloading the following form, and sending your completed copy to Ming Yang.  Payment by check or credit card will be expected upon arrival at the symposium, or you can prepay by using our PayPal site.
